Academy of Digital Arts Recording School in Encino, CA
Our New Encino Recording Arts Facility will be completed, ready for tours and classes, in late March, 2012. Here's what you'll find:
ICON ES Studio - Pro Tools HDX
This studio features the AVID ICON D-Control ES console and Pro Tools HDX computer digital audio system. Pro Tools HDX is all about Recording, and the Avid ICON D-Control ES is all about Control. This 2-room studio includes a live room for live recordings.
Console - Outboard 24-track Mix Lab
Eight 24-track mix stations, each with its own Behringer 3242FX analog audio console. Here you'll learn console operation, signal flow and how to get a signal into the console, processed and then back out. Also included in each station is a rack of outboard signal processing efx for students to practice applying signal processors such as delay, reverb, flanging, chorusing, compression and limiting. You'll mix 24-track music here often and you're welcome to record and keep CD Masters of all your mixes as part of your mix portfolio.
Pro Tools-MIDI-DAW Lab
This Lab features eight stations, each with iMac computer running all four major Digital Audio Workstation software programs: Avid Pro Tools 10, Apple Logic Pro, Reason and Ableton Live, and a MIDI keyboard for recording MIDI based material.
Solid State Logic & Neve Training
Recording Arts students will train on Solid State Logic and Neve consoles, using outside professional recording studios for our training.
Lecture Room
Multi-media, including audio-visual equipment for lecture presentations and critical listening audio exercises.
